It started from the heart of Makkah.
The tradition of Tiwafah- hosts of the pilgrims- has been a practice that is passed through generations and through bloodline. The daughters and the sons of the Mutawefeen of Makkah (hosts of pilgrims) would offer services of hajj and Umrah to pilgrims from all over the world. Each family would take a country of a region and work together to provide the services of Hajj.
Our grandparents used to speak multiple languages to communicate with pilgrims and would travel to promote their hajj services.
Now a days with the growing industry of tourism, hajj and Umrah the retreat ( Zawiyat Al Hijaz) aims to build bridges between the past and future through retreats and curated umrah experiences That is made with love and Ihsan.
